With over 18 years experience and a host of nominations and awards under her belt, Sydneysider turned New Yorker Genevieve Collerton has had an affinity with hair that started as a 13-year-old ‘tea and tidy’ shampoo girl and developed into a full-blown hair affair after working side by side with industry icons for almost two decades.Having had work published in magazines including Yen, Sneaky, Blk Mag and Penthouse by the age of 21, Genevieve developed a taste of the session styling world; frequently working on shoots and NYFW shows inspired her to bring the looks into the salon. To combine both worlds.

After being awarded a sought-after spot in the industry celebrated FAME Team fellowship that sent her to work and learn in London, Paris, Vietnam and all over Australia; Genevieve felt it was her time to jump abroad. Genevieve moved to New York City to be inspired by the culture and continue to grow as a hairstylist. In 2017, soon after arriving, she became the lead cutting and styling educator for product line Eleven, which saw her in class and onstage in North America and Canada. Genevieve’s approach to hair has always been respectful of classic techniques but living in NYC has encouraged her to loosen up, adding her personal flair to the crucial details of each cut.
